Day 98 its actually day one hundred and two, it seems over the last couple of weeks I have missed four days, my life seems to be going very well, good job, nice place to live, but I feel like I'm still missing something, like there's more I should be doing, there's got to be more than just going to work and watching movies at night and then doing it all over again, im feeling a bit bored with life and need more, I need to do more, to achieve more, I feel like I am lost and cant find a starting point to get something going, I don't even know what I want to get going, but I know I m starting to feel lost for direction. My life is so much different than it was three months ago, and I love where I am, but I just know there are big things out there waiting to be done by me. I don't know what they are, but I know they are there.
Its Sunday afternoon and im going to a friends house for dinner, it seems im making a lot of new friends out here, its nice to meet new people that didn't know me the way I used to be, its hard to explain, but I like it. I believe I will talk more about this tomorrow, until then, James
James, I've seen so many people accomplish so many things in life. I've seen the same people say exactly what you just said. I will tell you this, without Jesus Christ in your life, you will always be searching. I'm very proud of your accomplishments James.
ReplyDeleteAmen! Jimmy, the Lord will open so many doors for you and will fill that emptiness that you feel.. I promise you that! Please find a Christian church and get involved. See what happens.
ReplyDeleteI thought with the Native American art show today and the horses that you'd be pretty busy this weekend. Are you planning to start riding one of the horses?
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with your friend who made a comment on here. If you can find a nice, bible-based church and start attending, you are going to find that something that's missing in your life that only God (through his son Jesus) can fill. It probably sounds corny to you right now, but give it a try sometime. You can even pray from your home (or apt.) and ask God to come into your life and fill you with His spirit. I honestly do think that you will start feeling less bored and more fulfilled. My Jimmy did have a strong faith in Jesus, so I know that he is in heaven for all eternity and that I will see him again someday.
I believe what you are experiencing is called "the daily grind". Yes, it get's monatonous but this is where hobbies come in nicely. Riding and getting to know those horses you are in charge of might be something. Horses are a huge job but extremely rewarding. Maybe check out the library and find some books on care of horses. Think about things you have always wanted to do...and then go out and do it! You have such a clean, blank slate right now so the sky is the limit to what you can achieve or get involved in. We have all felt that need for more in our lives so don't feel alone. Most people do not have it all figured out, even if it looks like it from the outside:) Love you much my friend, Karin
ReplyDeleteJimmy I know you're not a praying man but I believe the answer is in your spirit. Take some time in the wilderness enjoy a a day of peace and search your soul. Weigh out all the things you have going and take a day to breath in where it is you would like to go and what it is you want most in life.
ReplyDeleteThere is always a need for reflection to make sure you're on a path that is the most edifying.
I'm not gonna preach to you, though I will say if you do believe in God my friend take that time and ask him " what is it you want from me?" then take more time in meditation and wait the answer to what you are missing will come and you will know it is God that showed you the way.
I guarantee you'll feel it in your spirit, you'll know what it is you are supposed to day.
Please Jimmy take that day early and hike out to the lake and enjoy the peace.
Psalm 5:3 3 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
Paslm 143:8 Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the MORNING; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.
